Three Women. One Extraordinary Room.
When I sat down to think about who the FemThrive Collective was really for, I didn't write a demographic profile. I thought about specific women. Women I'd met at events, in meetings, through mutual connections - women who were clearly extraordinary but didn't quite have the community that matched them.
This week, I want to introduce you to three of the women who said yes to the Collective before our very first event. Three founding members who, on the surface, couldn't be more different - and yet belong in exactly the same room.
Olia Rosenblatt - Founder of Mishka Luxury Dog Boutique
There are businesses that exist to make money, and there are businesses that exist because someone couldn't imagine the world without them. Mishka is the second kind.
Olia Rosenblatt is the founder of Mishka Luxury Dog Boutique — a San Francisco institution with two locations (2124 Union Street and the Ferry Building) that has created an entirely new category of luxury experience for dogs and the humans who love them. Handmade birthday cakes, artisan candy sets, curated treats, and a shopping experience so beautiful it stops people on the street.
And just when you thought Mishka couldn't get more exciting — Olia recently announced a collaboration with Mad Dogs & Englishmen, a new experience designed to celebrate adventure and connection between dogs and their humans across the city. We cannot wait to see what she creates.
Mishka ships nationwide (never frozen), delivers across the Bay Area via Instacart, Uber Eats, and DoorDash, and is available at both SF locations. If you have a dog, love a dog, or need a gift that will make someone gasp — this is it.
Anj Ahearn - Attorney & General Counsel in Women's Healthcare
Behind every company changing the world for women, there is a lawyer making sure it can actually do that. Anj Ahearn is that lawyer.
Anj is a seasoned in-house attorney and General Counsel with deep expertise in digital health, telemedicine, and women's healthcare. She has spent her career at the intersection of law and mission - working with companies like Tia, one of the most innovative women's health companies in the country, whose model treats women as whole people across gynecology, primary care, mental health, and wellness.
What I love about Anj is that she doesn't just practice law, she chooses her clients based on what they're building and why. She is the kind of attorney who is in the room not just because she was hired, but because she believes. Her work is protection, strategy, and advocacy all at once.
In the Collective, Anj brings the kind of perspective that every founder and executive needs but rarely has direct access to - a brilliant legal and strategic mind that genuinely cares about the outcome.
Anna Munandar - Owner of Mini Anna Photography
Some people take pictures. Anna Munandar freezes time.
Anna is the founder of Mini Anna Photography, a Sausalito-based studio serving the San Francisco Bay Area with over 20 years of experience and thousands of families photographed. A first-generation immigrant from Indonesia, proud single mom, world traveler across 36 countries and counting, fur-mom, postpartum depression survivor, and self-described Happiness Ambassador - Anna brings her whole self to every session she walks into.
She specializes in newborns, maternity, baby milestones, family portraits, and pet photography - but what she really specializes in is making people feel seen. Her work has been published in magazines and on billboards worldwide. Babies love her. Kids run up to hug her. Families return to her year after year because once Anna photographs you, she becomes part of your story.
Anna was also the photographer at our very first Collective event - Pilates & Pinot on July 10th. The photos she captured that night are the ones we'll look back at when the Collective is 10 years old and say: that's where it all started.
What Do These Women Have In Common?
A luxury dog boutique. A healthcare law practice. A family photography studio. Three completely different businesses - and yet when you sit across from Olia, Anj, and Anna, you feel exactly the same thing.
Intention. Purpose. A woman who built something real because she couldn't imagine not building it.
That's who the FemThrive Collective is for. Not a specific industry, revenue bracket, or job title. Women who show up with their whole selves and build with their whole hearts.
We are so honored to have them in this room. And we're just getting started.
